brewcapy is a small, independent app for discovering specialty coffee shops, logging your check-ins, and sharing notes with the community. By using brewcapy you agree to these terms — they're written in plain language to keep things honest.

Who can use brewcapy

You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're using brewcapy somewhere that sets a higher minimum age for online services, that age applies to you.

You're responsible for the account you create — keep your password safe and don't share your login with anyone.

Your content

Anything you post — check-ins, drink notes, ratings, photos, your avatar — stays yours. You own it.

To run the app, you grant brewcapy a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute the content you post, but only for the purpose of operating and improving brewcapy (e.g., showing your check-ins in the feed, on your profile, and in leaderboards). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies have already been re-shared by other users.

Acceptable use

Don't post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or promotes violence.
Don't impersonate other people or businesses.
Don't spam, scrape, or run automated check-ins.
Don't try to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service.
Don't upload other people's copyrighted photos or content without permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. For serious or repeated violations, we may terminate access without notice.

Cafés and third-party information

Café names, addresses, menus, photos, and hours shown in brewcapy are gathered from public sources and from users. We do our best to keep them accurate, but we can't guarantee that — call ahead or check the café's own channels before making a special trip.

brewcapy is not affiliated with the cafés it features and does not endorse them. Listings don't imply a business relationship.

Beta software

brewcapy is currently in TestFlight beta. Features may change, break, or disappear. We may reset data or change how things work as we figure out the product. We'll try not to lose your data, but during beta you should treat brewcapy as a fun place to log coffee — not as your only record.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your check-ins, photos, profile, and email from our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Disclaimer

brewcapy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the café information is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, brewcapy and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page and surface material changes in the app the next time you open it. Continuing to use brewcapy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
