Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-11
brewcapy is a personal coffee-shop discovery and check-in app. This document describes what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account info. Email address and display name when you sign up. Used to identify your account.
- Check-ins and reviews. Cafe you visited, drink name, flavor tags, rating, free-form notes you write, the photo you upload, and the timestamp. Used to render your profile, the feed, and leaderboards.
- Location while you use the app. Coarse location is requested to show nearby cafes on the map and to confirm you are at the cafe when you check in. We do not run background location updates.
- Photos you upload. Drink photos and avatar images you choose to upload. Stored on Supabase Storage and rendered to other users in the feed.
We do not collect health data, financial information, biometric identifiers, contacts, browsing history, search history, advertising identifiers, or anything you have not explicitly added.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use it for third-party advertising.
- We do not share it with analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share data with
- Supabase (storage provider) — your uploaded photos are stored there.
- Google Cloud Run (our backend) — hosts the API your phone talks to.
- Apple Sign-in / Google Sign-in — only when you choose them as a login method, and only to verify your identity.
We do not share data with anyone else.
Retention and deletion
- Your data is retained while your account is active.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your check-ins, photos, profile, and email from our servers.
Children
brewcapy is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
